This problem was only by the Corrados from the end-eighties to the early nineties...your car was produced 94 so you haven't this problem with the heater matrix,it has been also corrected by the facelift models!

I think you mean with "heater matrix" the heat exchanger behind the car dashboard?!

Stian, my records show that at least all VR6 models up to VIN ...RK003774 were affected, so well into the 94 production year. From my experience insuring automotive recalls those data sets should be pretty definite...
No,today isn't be able to get this done for free...you must pay also for the heater matrix if your Corrado is affacted!
And on the other hand you don´t know, if your car has already been repaired. By the way: How can i get this information? By asking a VW-dealer and he will have a look at my car´s history?
