Propably taking the Corrado to the Autobahn this summer - anything to remember?

  • As me and a few mates are thinking about a trip down into Europe - and I'm thinking of taking the Corrado as opposed the the 3.2 Passat as my Car of choice (pretty much always been a plan to take the C to the autobahn).

Is there any thing you guys think I should bring as spare when going on such a trip.

My C is a 95 VR6, which have been pretty much totaly refurbished last year - all bushings suspension etc have been replaced, also chain etc on on engine have been taken care of.

Is there anything that might be more prone to braking when going high speed as you guys do :) (no I'm not going to the autobahn to drive carelessly, but out max is 100 or so so autobahn is a completely different game).

    Thanks for any tips!

  • Don't worry. The Corrado is build for higher speeds, especially the Vr6. If your car is in a condition to work properly at 100km/h it will do so on the autobahn. Just watch your engine temperature and don't put your engine permanent to its limits. .... and enjoy

  • thanks for the info m8 - turns out the Corrado sadly isn't going to Germany this year (the car is ready) - but turns out the people I'm going with wasn't able to go on a long trip this year - so guess maybe next year :)

however me and one other guy is going to Berlin, renting a car - and are heading down to munich the same day we arrive - any tips of nice places to visit on this trip - any nice way to drive?? - I guess we are heading into switzerland, maybe france also etc.....

Reason for not driving our own car is the guy I'm travelling with only was able to do about 1 week + and driving from up here, one would want to have 3-4 weeks available...:)
