Anyone know if these controls are available from VW in Germany still ?.
it's for a 95 VR6 with AC.
Mine isn't working in fan speed 1, I presume it got something to do with the "slider" copper thingy.
what is such a thing called in German btw?

As I'm most likely going on a roadtrip in Germany this summer - any tips on where to drive/see - any cool "drives" ?
Probably heading down to Germany again later this year - although I haven't decided yet which car I will take with me - either the Corrado VR6 or the 06 Passat 3.2 V6 - but if I'l take the passat I'm thinking of maybe getting the chain replaced in Germany.
Do you guys have any idea what this would cost at a VW shop in Germany, and how long time they would need to have the car for ?.
Also what would such a "service" be called in German ?. (complete with the guides etc etc).
The car is soon turning 100 000km - and not sure I want to take my chances of going further - I guess that was the km the older VR6's started to develope troubles with the chain ? - or is this much improved from the older system ?.
thanks!
do you mean this parts?

the last valve you linked to is correct - but not the first one, the other one I'm after is called a "Pilot unloader valve" - and is mostly used on gas-powered compressors so the engine can run continiusly by "unloading" the pressure from the compressor - so the motor runs, but the compressor don't produce any air.
Any of you guys know if VW will provide code for older VW Gamma players - based on the radio's serial number.
Where did you find them on that site ? (I tried searching the part number but nothing showed up).
Is the parts on this site the same genuin one would normaly get from VW ?
The dealer in Norway have discontinued these - but seem to still be available in UK.
Do any of you guys know if these are still available from VW in Germany?
Part-number: 533 867 633
It's the "locking clips" for the plastic trim you take off to access the wing motor etc....
The norwegian vw dealer isn't directly run by VW - as they seem to be other places, so was told that they might discontinue parts even if they still could be available from VW.
Right! It exist even a repair kit with a part number. A 25-35 cm hose with a valve. Unfortunately i lost the Part number and i can´t find the webside where i found the information.
It´s not only a Corrado problen. Golf 3 and Passat had also problems with VDO fuel pumps.
Can't get the image to work - is it of the repair kit or ?.
Was this kit available from VW too or ?
This maybe a problem of a valve in the fuel pump. The valve holds pessure in fuel pipe and if the valve ist broken the fuel runns back to tank. The fuel vaporize and the Motor will not start.
Would that mean changing the complete fuel pump ? (and is it a "known" problem )?
Also where would you buy such a pump online in Germany ? (OEM/VW brand) - just want to check price as it's da** expensive up here
Also is there any way I could check if this is the culprit ?
Most of the times when my 95 VR6 is warm I will have to crank it for a little while before it fires.
Any tips on what might cause this?.
I get no error codes with VAG-COM, coilpack is as far as I know "recently" replaced).
Will ex the crank position sensor cause something like this ? (and not show any error codes ?).
Or anything else causing it? - It seem like it will always start - but when hot takes some more cranking..., so more annoying than a major problem
However, I do not understand why some coupes make the grade and others do not. Everyone knows, for instance, that the Corrado was as tasty as an East End prize fighter with the looks of a Benetti super-yacht. The four-cylinder was good, but the VR6 was about as close as you could get to Ferraridom without buying a Ferrari. And what happened? You all went to the pub instead.
Then there's the Calibra which, dynamically speaking, is some way behind the Corrado. And yet sales of the Vauxhall are still quite good.
The full interview:
Was opening the plastic trim on the hatch today (to inspect the lock mechanism) - but this thing fell out:
Anyone know where it should sit?
my english isn´t perfect but i will do my best
is the copper lip behind your fanspeed regulator broke? or is it just without function, then maybe it can be corroded between the rotary switch copper and the circiut board.
works the heater fan in some levels of the rotary switch or complete not?
you should put the whole control panel out there and check the copper lip of the switch...
greetings
Yea the copper lip seem to be ok, and it worked on 2, 3 and 4, but not 1.
I shorted it on 1 and then it ran as it should - but after I messed a bit with it it now only run on 2 and 3 - have to push in on 4.
Can I get the lip out by itself ? (it seem to be ok - but maybe some corrosion on it - is it supposed to make contact with something on the backside of that "copper strip" ?
Anyone know if it's possible to repair the copper bit that controls speed of heater FAN ?.
(where it slides the copper "lip" over the copper, I presume to regulate resistance?).
If so how would one do it?, and possible to get new parts ?.
