of course, but the water temperature is too hot. This is the problem,or not!?!And the thermostat is the error! The second radiatorcircuit open too late...It must open at
~90-100°C...Do you understand me? This is my first english lesson since 1996 :grinning_squinting_face:

PS: 120 degrees are too much!!!The thermostat open too late (or none!) but maybe....

Check the waterpump!! Isenough pressure,or not?

Can't the engine be too hot due to to lean mixture? I mean, so hot that the cooling system can't hold down the temp.

I think the Fan is o.k., the oil temperature is o.k too...Sometimes I´ve 130°C
but the thermostat...!?!...Open??? Are you sure??? That is the problem! Change it...

The fan is ok. It should be working if temp is too hot. The temp light is blinking, so the motor is overheated, no doubt.

    I have a 95 VR6 automat.

I have noticed since a time that the fan has run after I left the car. That is not usual because it's early spring with temp near freezing point. I have also noticed the car have become hard to start, I have to run the starter a much longer time. When car is running I haven't noticed any other problem.

Today the motor was really hot, the warning light for motor temp was blinking. The meter show 120 degreas and oil temp 122. Water level was ok. I was little afraid that something dangerous should happen but I didn't drive so far. I noticed that the hose from thermostat was really hot.

I first thought it could be the thermostat that didn't open, but it isn't an usual problem.

I now have started to wonder if it could be that the motor have an air leek so the mixture is to lean. If the mixture is to lean I think the motor will be warmer. How does that sound? The fact that the car now is hard to start could perhaps depond on to lean mixture.

    was the switch the problem?

Inside the switch ther are two triangular metal pieces that make the contact. These are moving when you push the button, one of them is for mainlight and one for parking. Each of them have three contact points. These points are pressed out of the metal so they make a round contact. The main light point was tored and burned down. I solved it bye finding a bronse pin with a round head. I drill the point out and riveted the cut off pin head on the contact. It looked like new and it worked perfect! Thanks for your help!

corrado95se has the new one, but i don't know if there's only the design changed or the complete switch

Thanks folks! I will go for the switch! :face_with_tongue:

I have mended the switch. Now I know the most of it. If someone is interested, please email me.

    worden.
Er hat jetzt 130.000 km drauf.

if the light's sometimes go on, if you snap the switch a little, then it's clearly the switch i think.

But why shouldn't it be on when I turn the motor off and on without tuching the switch. I think I send a "pulse" when i'm snapping the switch with a finger. I have also managed to turn on the light bye tapping on realys and fuses with the backside of a screwdriver, but it's not easy and I don't see a special spot that it's responding on my tapping.

I have a German bought 95 VR6. I now have got problems to turn on the headlights. When I press the switch twice inwards only the parking lights is on. You can also see on the switch that the green ring in the switch is lit, that indikate that parking lights is on, when headlight is on, this ring shall no be lit.
I then start to push the switch back and forth and suddenly the lights goes on. I sometimes manage to light them by snap the switch a little.
I don't think the problem is in the switch beacuse I have seen that if the lights are on and I stop the engine and starts the engine the lights are off again. I then think the reason can be a relay that is hard to get on.
Have anyone have experience of this?

My radio reception is bad, only the strongest stations are ok. I have looked at my antenna. I have a 95 C, the antenna have no amplifier. I have tried an amp at the radio side, it didn't helped. I am now going to Germany via Sassnitz, down to Berlin. I have some questions about my problems.
Do a Corrado give good radio receptions?
If I buy a new antenna with amp in Germany, will it be ok then?
Where to buy it? Can you give me advise on shops that have good antennas with a good price.
    Anders Sweden

My rear schockabsorbers on my C 95 VR6 have started to leak. I want only standard like VW. Can you spare any money to buy them elsewhere than VW? Brand and model? Price VW and other if you know.
    Thanks

    Thanks Sebastian!
Now I now I don't have to search more for the new F1. I will not change to 16", I don't think it's worth it for me.
Now next Q. Winther is over in Sweden and it's time to change winther tires to summer. My summer tires are worn out Toyo Proxes S1. I think they have been good but to few km on them, around 30 000 km. What tires should I buy? Is the old F1 (GS-D2) best buy or have you other suggest?

    Hi Corrado lovers!
I tried to buy this new model of this tire in sweden. It is not sold in dimension 205 50 15. I can only buy the earlier model GS-D2. Is it the same in Germany? If it's possible to buy it in Germany, does you know the price?

I don't know if you have recommendations somewhere on the site.
Could you give me recommendations for normal 205/50-15 tires for my -95 VR6, not for extreme driving conditions. I think first of wet grip, silence and rather good mileage.
