• Well I've finally managed to get my Borbet A's and fitted them this past weekend. When fitting though the rear )x16's look very wide, and the wheel sticks out past the wheel arch. I know in the UK the rules are that the tread of the tyre (the part that meets the ground) has to be under the arch (or within a certain angle) but I'm not sure what the laws are here. Before I take this to have it TÜV approved I need to check.

Also, does anyone have any Teilegutachten for the 9x16 Borbet A on a Corrado, or a copy of their TÜV documents so I can prove that these are fine for my vehicle.

    Danke.......

  • I've gone for 215/40/16 (mostly as they came with the tyres on them, but also because any wider and the tread would be outside the arch)

The tread is just inside the arch in the middle of the arch (I do mean JUST.... probably about even with the arch) Do you think people will give me problems at the TÜV ?

I'm not sure if I should take it too the TÜV now, or try my local garage

  • I have ET15 which is fine with no rubbing at all (these are on the back as I have 7.5x16 ET20 at the front) I've got the front and back dropped about 40mm on Fk Highsports and all seems fine. Although the clearence for the front on full lock is about 3 or 4mm on the inner arch both ways. So about at close as it can get.

Hmm, now i just need to find a nice friendly english speaking garage in München (story of my life.... never going to find that it seems)
