List of wheels&tires which fit in G60 that has lowered

  • Rimms for 50 mm (Eibach) lowered G60

If anyone would happen to know any list referred to titel. I have intention to buy wheels and tires for Corrado G60, but here in Finland the car is farely rare and it is hard to know what sizes fit without any problem. Therefore I came to ask you guys (and girls?). The common size in Corrado seems to be 9X16" rimms while the ET is 15. And tires are 215/40R16. What if the tire was 225, would it fit?
What other proper sizes there are if we think about 16-17" wheels? I would be very appreciated any answers! I could do some minor modifications to wheel arches if it is needed in some cases. Like cutting some un-needed metal...

Now Im wondering also which one is the SEND button below this text box... Ill
go for the Vorschau... ok that was the Preview and the second guess is....

  • hi levis,
sorry for waiting for an answer, but not all members here seems to be able to read/write english... :grinning_squinting_face:
a complete list of fitting rimms and wheels does´nt exist, too many combinations exist... :grinning_squinting_face:
i have 9x16 et-15 rimms on my corrado, with 215/40/16 wheels, like many others too. 7,5x16, 8x17, 9x17, 10x17 fits too, but with modifications at the body.
i hope i could help you a bit, if you have further questions write them here! perhaps it takes 1 or 2 day for an answer, don´t worry... :grinning_squinting_face:

  • Thanks for answering!

Actually I allready ordered a set of used rimms. Borbet T 9x16, et15. Also tires came along, 215/40. Still few things puzzles me. Here in Finland it is not allowed, by the book, use 215 mm wide tires on 9" wide rimms. 225 mm is actually a minimum. I know that there exist few tire manufacturers that allow this combination, but not all. Therefore it would be good to know does 225 fit? Never heard that something has happened if 9" & 215 is used but still.

One more thing: how much you can lower your car with 9x16, et 15, 215/40? Without any body mods.?

  • hi,
my car is ~80mm lowered, but i have some bodymods. without any changes i think you can lower your car up to 35mm...

225 tyres fits on 9" rimms, but i don´t know the finnish laws....

  • What I meant about those 225 tires is how well there is space to use those with 9" rimms. Do they fit in the wheel arch, cause they are wider? Of course they can be installed over 9" rimms.
Actually I got list about tires what can be used with Borbet R model when the size is 9X16. I dont know is Borbet T similar to R model that you could use the following list...
    215/40R16:
    Dunlop: sp 8000, sp2040
    Continental: Conti Sport Contact
    Bridgestone: B530, s-01
    Yokohama: A510, A520
    Goodyear: Eagle F1
    GT: Champiro HPZ 40

  • I have visited those pages. But I thought that in Germany you guys no these things better! The Car is German.. Therefore I made this assumption. And also the popularity of Corrado is greater, I think

  • Hello again.

The wheels arrived today from Germany. They weren´t quite like they were supposed to be. Two of them were supposed to be ok and the other two there were supposed to be minor scratches.... If you think (all four) whole rimms outer-circle is a scratched is ok what do you think the other two were like. One bigger dent and several nasty marks allover the rimms. Pathetic sight. No good.
Tires were ok, as they were promised Fulda Carat (5-6 mm surface left). The guy who sold/sent the rimms from south Germany said that they are easily repaired, right! Only sandpaper and a new coating is needed... Didn´t mention anything about the welding and re-straightenin is also required... perhaps after that sandpaper will to the trick. Came up a little bad taste about honesty....

Greets to You, A.Hole, from Finland! (who ever you are)
