Just thought I'd give a small update on things I'v done with it since I got it from Sweden:
Just thought I'd update.
They do fit with a KW V1 suspension, NO spacers and not rolled fenders.
Although I still have to lower the KW some more, as it sits a bit high still
Tires: Michelin Exalto sport 215/40
I had something similar in mind (technical control board, police,...) but assumed you need some 'official' data. Volkswagen Automuseum probably has data about their cars but likely not yours. But I'm glad it worked out for you.
yea it worked out alright - but funny thing is vw automuseum actually had data on my car.
they where the ones that could tell me that my Corrado actually was used as a "inhouse" volkswagen car - meaning that it had some special Volkswagen plates that they could use within the factory area - and then tell me what store it was sold to in Germany (as a "used" car).
I contacted the shop which could confirm for me that the car was then directly exported to Sweden and never had official German plates.....:)
I doubt that Volkswagen or any other car manufacturer has weight data for specific cars. You can give it a try and can contact the customer service.
Where do you live by the way? And is it required for all (imported) cars?Edit: I figured it out from your other thread.
It worked out in the end - it got weighted here by the "KBA" people - but Volkswagen actually do have these data available from Volkswagen Automuseum
Anyone know if it's possible to get in contact with Volkswagen Germany to get a document with technical data about *my* 1995 VW Corrado VR6 ?
Or do I have to scrap it? - as the goverment goones here won't register it correctly without weight data from Volkswagen.....:(
ok, didn't find this combination though.....:(
Anyone know if the following Borbet T will fit fine on a corrado - no rubbing (and not sticking outside the wheelbay) etc....
SPECS:
7,5x16 et35 + 9x16 et 30
(and will it fit over the VR6 brakes)?.
My C got KW Coilovers fitted - if that makes any difference also.
Finaly some real progress being done on this Corrado.
- Got new brake lines and hoses +++ fitted (going to have to get some new OEM VW brake hoses though as the goodridge stuff I bought is total cr** IMHO - the rear was wrong, and the front ones (one side) doesn't seem to hold the seal properly...:( ).
- Got the engine fitted in the car - still some electric to be connected, and some of the water hoses etc.
- Missing the air-intake as I lost the gasket between the TB and the air intake - new one ordered.
- Partly fitted the Hartmann Exhaust system - missing the midle "pipe" as I have to cut it to fit.
Some pics of the progress:
As it sits tonight:
The Hartmann Exhaust:
And finaly a somewhat to dark photo from the bay:
thnx - do you happen to know if those bolts are threaded all the way - or if they have an area that's not threaded ?.
thnx
No one happen to know??
ok, any way I could tell if mine is affected?
I tried to get some info from VW - but to me it seemed this wasn't affected.........however I'm not sure though....:(
No, I have a new proportion valve, but I'm after the part numbers for the things that holds the spring to the rear axel and the valve - I presume there is a bolt and a nut, and maybe a washer?.
Because on the G60 etc there is a roller etc - but the spring differs on the G60 and VR6 and I presume the fasteners also differse, even if it doesn't seem to show up in etka....
hmmm, yea it's the heater matrix I'm talking about.
Would my car be affected - VIN: WVWZZZ50ZSK001385
And would I still be able to get this done for free - or atleast get free parts from VW?.
Any of you guys have picture of the brake proportion valve (hanging on the rear axel), and the assembly around it for the VR6.
VW found the spring etc, but I'm a bit unsure if I got the correct bolts etc - as there is difference from the older models and the VR6.
Anyone know the part numbers for all the small parts (bolts etc) to fasten the spring to the proportion valve thingy
Ok, thnx for the info - nice to know - realy wasn't looking to getting that hot feets lol
