I was looking at small ads on the internet and there are 1.8 16v corrados with 140hp...

Well, I don't know. Is there any possible way to buy or renew compressor? I called one guy and he said to me that his compressor needs to be replaced or generally renewed (repaired). I called Posedi Slovenia (VW) and they told me that compressor cannot be checked if there are any damages or if it needs to be replaced. When it crashes, it crashes, he said to me, and there's no way to get a new compressor for corrado at VW anywhere in the world.

    So? What are the alternatives?

Is there very big difference between G60 serie and 1.8 16v, since the horsepower difference is just 20 horses (default)? I know that G60 accelerates better, but is it really worth of buying and taking care just for a miliseconds faster acceleration time?

Thanks for the answer. Checking the machine is piece of cake, but I was wondering if there's something special to check on G-lader for example, before buying the car.

If the car had/has any beauty faults, my friend's father is a well known (here in Slovenia) car varnisher and modifier, so there will be no problems.

I'll check your quote later with some dictionary in my hand :)

Thank you for your exhaustive reply, Steff.
I'm about to buy G60 edition. I want to have a fast car and so on... and I want corrado :)

So I have to treat my G60 compressor with care. I'm not used to drive the car to its limits. Well, not always. Sometimes I'm in mood to flaten the gas pedal, but I always do that when the car is warmed up to its normal level.

So if I'll drive the car with care, there will be no problem?

I need an advice: what I have to know before/when I'm buying G60? How do I know if the car is tunned too much or it's tunned wrong? My friend is an experienced car fan and car mechanic but he hasn't dealt with corrados yet. Anyway, how to know if the car is worth of buying? Prices are around 2,500 €.

You can post in PLAIN German too!

Hello! I'm one of many corrado freaks out there and just for the record I tested corrad vr6 2.8, 220hp today and it's wonderful, but kind of out of my money reach, so I'm looking for G60, because is less expensive (used) and it doesn't "eat" so much fuel.

I heard that the G60 thing (that's a turbo charger, right?) is very corruptible. Is that correct? And what to do, when your G60 passes away? Can you attach usual or sport filter on your car and you're ready to go, but without G60? I heard that G60 is expensive.

    Post, please!
